Honey Bears Newsletter

Come join the fun as a Honey Bear in our 4's program.  We begin our day with a free-style exploration as we create masterpieces in the art room, engineer constructs in the main room working together with blocks, Legos and play-dough.  If a quieter area calls your child, the dramatic play/library room will be a calming area packed full of books and puzzles.

Circle Time is a place we learn to respect one another through talking and listening to one another as we discover the elements of our calendar and weather.  In addition, we move to music; play educational games; learn finger plays, poems and flannel stories; study topics based on the themes for the month.

Recess anyone?  Our outside play structures offer a variety of options to build our muscles and grow.  Slides, sandbox, see-saw airplane, bikes, balls, scooters and more, your child is sure to find a favorite.

With the love of Christ, our commitment and heart to serve your child, our class offers a balanced approach to learning.  Academics are structured with the format using Handwriting without Tears curriculum; visit the website www.hwtears.com for further information.  This interactive and hands-on approach to learning is fundamentally age-appropriate for your preschooler.  Chapel talks are every Tuesday with Pastor Rick a.k.a the man with the guitar; your child will have a repository of Bible stories and songs to bring joy to their heart.

Is it really time to end our day?  Building your child's self-confidence through speaking in front of their friends is achieved through show and tell.  Children love telling about something they bring from home and answer questions from their friends.  A final story of the day or music brings our day to an end as we say, "Good Bye".
